Ready For Casting...

MRT have been designing, manufacturing and running die casting tooling for over 75 years, so we have immense experience in optimising component and tool designs to achieve the best results. We use the latest Solidworks CAD and Magmasoft casting simulation software to support us

We have a small in-house tool room for the manufacture of machining fixtures and tooling modifications. For new toolmaking projects we work in close partnership with a tightly managed group of specialist sub-contract toolmakers in the UK and Europe. MRT take full responsibility for the design, project management, and sampling of all tools. All new tools are fully sampled and submitted with dimensional reports, produced in-house at MRT using our CNC Co-ordinate Measuring Machines.

We enjoy working closely with our customers on new product development and toolmaking. By getting MRT involved at an early stage of product conception, we can often make suggestions which can lead to significant savings in tooling and component costs. MRT's Toolmaking Process:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

MRT will manage the complete process, from tooling design, all the way through manufacture, to production of samples, and submission of First Article Inspection reports.

QUALITY ASSURED TOOLING

All toolmaking is managed within our ISO9001 quality management system. Our toolmaking partners are regularly auditted. Accuracy of tooling is verified by extensive dimensional checks on first-off samples.

IN-HOUSE TOOLROOM

Our in-house engineering resources and skills ensure that we can maintain production tooling to the highest standards.

INNOVATIVE TOOLING DESIGN

We are meticulous in our approach to tooling design, and incorporate numerous innovative features to improve product repeatability, improve tooling life, and minimise production set up time.
